A refined Premier Cru from a respected family domaine, this 2020 'Hommage Marguerite' shows bright citrus and orchard fruit lifted by precise mineral drive. The nose opens with white blossoms, lemon zest and subtle toasted notes; on the palate it delivers a creamy mid-palate layered with toasted almond, light vanilla and saline minerality. Oak influence is present but integrated — 30% new barrels — while extended lees contact is intentionally limited to preserve clarity. A wine of tension and poise: medium-plus in weight, energetic acidity and a long, refreshing finish. Serve slightly chilled after a short rest to allow aromas to open.

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey was formed in 2001 from the partnership of Pierre-Yves Colin and Caroline Morey. The estate now farms about 13 hectares across Saint-Aubin, Chassagne-Montrachet, Santenay, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. Their approach blends careful vineyard work on steep, often grassed parcels with traditional cellar techniques: whole-cluster pressing, gentle long pressings, fermentation in 350L barrels (around 30% new) and extended élevage of 15–20 months without bâtonnage. Bottling is unfiltered and corked, with wax finishing for even cellar evolution.
