Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright and precise, this Grand Cru displays zesty lemon peel, green apple and orchard fruit aromas, layered over a flinty, saline mineral core with a subtle petrol nuance. The palate is crisp and linear, driven by vibrant acidity, with medium body and a focused, long finish. Producer notes: From a respected family domaine in Alsace, this cuvée is selected from the Kirchberg de Barr Grand Cru sites and reflects careful parcel selection and low-yield farming. Winemaking notes: Grapes are gently pressed and fermented slowly in temperature-controlled vessels to preserve aromatic purity. Extended lees contact adds texture without masking the wine’s energetic acidity; no heavy new oak is used, keeping the profile clean and mineral. Vineyard notes: Grapes come from well-exposed, stony Grand Cru sites with mineral-rich soils and good drainage. Cool continental conditions and strong diurnal range help retain freshness and aromatic intensity, producing wines with clarity, tension and ageing potential.
