Tasting note
Tasting note: Bright and refined, this Puligny exudes a finely layered profile—clean floral and white stone-fruit aromas with a hint of warm pastry and gentle oak. The palate is medium-weight with a silky, almost buttery mouthfeel that stays poised by fresh, chalky acidity and a precise, linear finish. Producer notes: From Domaine Bitouzet-Prieur, run by Vincent and François Bitouzet, Les Levrons is selected from vines on the limestone slopes of Puligny and reflects the site’s mineral tension and clarity. Winemaking: Hand-harvested and carefully vinified, the wine sees élevage in French oak (measured new oak influence) with time on fine lees to build texture while preserving freshness. A touch of post-bottling reduction may be present in youth—allow a short decant if drinking now. Vineyard: Les Levrons sits on well-drained, calcareous soils that promote concentrated flavors at modest yields; morning sun and good exposure contribute to ripe, elegant phenolics. Drinkability: Approachable now with decanting, or cellar to 2030+ for additional depth.
