This single‑vineyard release from a 12.4‑acre block beneath Mount Saint Helena is a concentrated, mountain‑bred red with real presence. Aromas lift from the glass — violet blossom, blackberry liquor and dried black currants threaded with menthol and toasted baking spices. On the palate it shows generous, ripe dark fruit and blueberry compote framed by persistent, powdery tannins and rich, savory oak influence from 13 months in 90% new French barrels. The vintage delivered warmth and concentration, giving a wine that balances plush texture with firm structure and a long finish of bittersweet dark chocolate and iron-tinged minerality. Decant for around 90 minutes if drinking now; the wine is built to cellar but will sing alongside charred, savory red meats.
