Tasting note

品飲筆記:酒色深沉,前段以黑醋栗、李子果實為主,伴隨紫羅蘭的花香、些許橙皮清香與乾燥香草調性;中段出現帶鐵感的礦質與淡淡煙草氣息,整體果實鮮明、酸度明快、單寧細緻而成熟,餘韻偏鹹礦感且回味悠長。 酒莊與田地:源自聖朱利安一座世代經營的二級酒莊名下二牌,園區約82公頃,立於古老的加龍河礫石地,平均樹齡約46年。全園以有機與生物動力管理,採用人工採收與田間精選,重視土壤健康與水分管理。 釀造工藝:收成時做雙重分選與按地塊入槽;發酵於木槽與溫控水泥槽各半,添加酵母以掌控發酵表現。14個月法國細紋橡木桶熟成(15%新桶,其餘為1–2年桶),保留果香同時帶來柔和結構。 口感小結:中等酒體、活潑而有層次的酸度、細緻且有抓力的單寧,既適合近期飲用也具一定陳年潛力,與紅肉與奶香類料理相得益彰。

Tasting note: Deep ruby with a core of focused blackcurrant and damson plum, lifted by violet florals, a hint of orange zest and herbal spice. Savory iron-mineral notes and a touch of tobacco frame the mid-palate. The palate shows juicy energy, fresh acidity and fine, ripe tannins leading to a lingering, savory finish. Producer notes: From a Saint-Julien second-label of a 2ème Cru Classé estate, this wine benefits from 82 ha of vines planted on ancient Garonne gravel. The estate follows organic and biodynamic principles across all plots with an average vine age of around 46 years. Winemaking: Grapes undergo double reception and strict sorting, with plot selection for vinification. Fermentation takes place in a mix of wood and temperature-controlled cement tanks with selected yeasts. Ageing is 14 months in fine-grain French oak (15% new, remainder 1-2 years old). Vineyard notes: Soils of Garonne gravel (first quaternary), manual harvesting, leaf thinning, green harvests and integrated pest control. The site’s drainage and mature stocks contribute to concentrated fruit and classic Médoc structure. Approachability is good now with aging potential through the late 2020s.

Chateau Gruaud-Larose is a historic Saint-Julien estate classified as a 2ème Grand Cru Classé. The property spans extensive gravel terraces and combines traditional classification prestige with modern viticultural practices. Under the Taillan Group ownership the domaine emphasizes plot selection, careful cellar work and a move toward organic and biodynamic management across all vineyard surfaces.
