Tasting Note: Overture 2022 opens with vibrant dark-berry aromas—blackberry and cassis—lifted by violet florals and a whisper of oak spice. On the palate it is plush yet structured: black cherry and red currant weave with silky textures and polished, supple tannins. The mid-palate shows depth and a layered fruit profile while the finish remains long and refined. Producer Notes: Overture is Opus One’s expression of blending craft: marrying lots from five traditional Bordeaux varieties and combining multiple vintages to create a softer, rounder, immediately approachable wine. The result is a harmonious, estate-driven release that balances power with grace. Winemaking Notes: Fruit is selected from estate parcels, matured in seasoned and new oak for extended barrel ageing to build a velvety mouthfeel. Blending across vintages smooths edges and produces an elegant, accessible profile on release while preserving depth and ageing potential. Vineyard Notes: Sourced from the estate’s varied terroirs, the wine reflects hillside soils and microclimates that concentrate dark fruit and floral lift.
