This McLaren Vale release delivers a concentrated core of dark berry fruit framed by warm spice and well-managed oak. Ripe black cherry and blackberry aromas give way to layers of dark chocolate, mocha and cracked pepper on the palate. The wine shows generous weight and plush texture, balanced by moderate acidity and ripe, grippy tannins that carry a long, savory finish. Fermented and matured in oak, it’s built for near-term enjoyment but has the structure to evolve through the stated drinking window. Winemaker Ben Perkins focuses on ripe fruit extraction and careful oak integration to preserve vibrancy and length.
