Tasting note

The 1996 Vignobles Andre Lurton Chateau La Louviere from Pessac-Leognan, Bordeaux, is a classic expression of the region's terroir. This wine, crafted by winemaker Anne Neuville with the expertise of consultants Michel Rolland and Mikael Laizet, showcases a harmonious blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wine is aged for 12 months in barrels, with 40% new oak and 15% in terracotta amphorae, adding complexity and depth. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of blackberry, plum, cedar, and tobacco, with earthy and spicy undertones. The palate is well-structured with firm tannins, balanced acidity, and a full body, leading to a long, satisfying finish. Ideal for pairing with grilled lamb, roast beef, mature cheeses, and mushroom risotto.
