Named World Whisky of the Year in 2008, this whisky boasts a light gold color and an aroma bursting with intense smoky fruit, zesty lemon and lime, wrapped in waxy dark chocolate. The palate is an explosion of crackling peat, tangy lemon and lime juice, black pepper, sizzling cinnamon-spiced toffee, and a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk, ripe bananas, and currants. The finish is long and deep, with dry espresso, liquorice root, and tarry smoke.
