Chateau Coutet is situated on the first hill of Saint-Émilion, just half a kilometre from the village. The vineyard is surrounded by prestigious châteaux and has been organically certified since 2012. The vines, averaging 38 years old, are planted at a density of 6,000 vines per hectare. The winemaking process is traditional, with hand-harvesting, manual sorting, and vinification without pumps. The wine is aged for 18 months in 50% new oak barrels.
