The 2020 Le Pin from Pomerol, France, is a wine of immense potential and complexity. On the nose, it offers a fragrance cloud full of ethereal and herbal savouriness, balsamic, juniper, floral, and sweet cherry notes. The palate is plump and creamy, yet fresh and juicy, with a fine texture and a union of contrasts: freshness and ripe fruitiness, creaminess and substance, minerality and mildness. This wine is still youthful, with flavors that are yet to fully open up. The vineyard's unique ruby gravel soils rich in iron oxides on a bed of deep clay contribute to its distinctive character. Aged in 65% new barrels and 35% second-use barrels, this wine promises a remarkable evolution over time.
