The 2004 Chateau Pontet-Canet is a stunning expression of Pauillac's terroir. With a nearly opaque color, this wine opens with an intense nose of blackberry, toasted cherry, liquorice, coffee, and vanilla, complemented by spicy undertones. On the palate, it delivers a full-bodied attack, evolving into luscious, juicy tannins and a long, persistent finish. Crafted under the guidance of Michel Rolland, this wine is aged in a mix of new oak barrels, concrete amphoras, and one-wine oak barrels for 16-18 months. The biodynamically farmed vineyard, certified by Ecocert and Demeter, sits on quaternary gravel soils, ensuring a wine of exceptional quality and character.
