Chateau Saint-Pierre 2005 is a remarkable representation of Saint-Julien's Grand Cru Classé wines. This vintage showcases a deep, intense color with a nose of pure black fruit and hints of mocha. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of black cherry, tobacco, and cocoa, complemented by velvety tannins and a balanced structure. The estate, reformed in 1982 by Henri Martin, boasts a rich history dating back to the 17th century. The vineyard's Gunzian gravel and clayey-sandy subsoil contribute to the wine's complexity, while traditional winemaking in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and 18 months of oak aging ensure its refined character. Perfectly paired with beef, venison, or aged cheeses, this wine is a testament to the dedication of the Martin family.
