This whisky is a creation of Ichiro Akuto, the grandson of the founder of the Hanyu distillery. The Chichibu distillery, where this whisky is made, is located 100 kilometers northwest of Tokyo. The region's climatic variations greatly benefit the maturity of the distillery's whiskies, resulting in a unique and flavorful product. This whisky is double distilled and made from pure malt, offering a rich and intense flavor profile. It pairs well with sushi, grilled fish, and other Japanese cuisine.
