Opus One is the realisation of a singular mission to pursue uncompromising quality. The estate parcels – including holdings within the famed To Kalon area – were managed with a mix of traditional hand-harvesting and targeted modern techniques. Fermentation included extended skin contact (18 days) and the wine finished with 17 months in new French oak barrels to build complexity and silky texture.

On opening you’ll be greeted by layers of dark fruit — blackberry, cassis and black cherry — with floral violet and a savory undercurrent of graphite, orange zest and dark chocolate. The palate is broad and plush, fine-grained tannins and bright acidity delivering a creamy mid-palate and a very long finish. Drink now after an hour’s aeration for immediate charm, or cellar confidently for decades.
