Tasting Note: Bright, focused and classically Burgundian — vivid red-cherry and raspberry fruit opens with a ribbon of herbal spice, underlaid by warm baking spice and a gentle mineral streak. The palate is lithe and energetic: fine, silky tannins frame succulent mid-palate fruit while lively acidity keeps the wine poised to the lingering, savoury finish. Producer Notes: From a small family domaine in Beaune, this Premier Cru reflects a hands-on approach in the vineyard and cellar. The team aims to let site expression speak first, using modest intervention and careful maturation to preserve freshness and terroir character. Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in French oak barrels; élevage is gently managed to integrate subtle oak spice without overpowering the fruit. Punchdowns and gentle extraction produce elegant texture and lifted aromatics. Vineyard: Les Aigrots, a well-sited Premier Cru, benefits from good sun exposure and soils that lend structure and mineral lift. Vines are worked to prioritise balance and health, yielding concentrated grapes with refined tannins. Cellaring & Serving: Drinking window c.2024–2031.
