2020 Spellbound Chardonnay

Bright golden in the glass with an inviting nose of baked apple, pear, lemon curd and warm vanilla, lifted by toasted almond and subtle spice. The palate is creamy and rounded with layered stone and tropical fruit, gentle oak influence and balanced acidity that keeps the wine lively. Production focuses on plush texture — partial barrel fermentation, lees contact and restrained oak ageing give a silky mid-palate and a savory finish. Sourced from select California vineyards chosen for ripe fruit and freshness, this wine is approachable now with a short rest in the glass or a 20-minute decant to open up aromatics.
