The 2022 Valli Bendigo Vineyard Pinot Noir is a harmonious and generous wine, displaying plush aromas of black cherry, plum, sautéed mushroom, and warm spices. Medium-full bodied, it unfolds layers of cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, floral notes, and thyme. The tannins are silky and ripe, with juicy acidity carrying warm spice throughout the palate, leading to a plush, lengthy finish. This wine is well-structured with power and spice, making it an excellent match for spiced lamb and five-spice roast duck. Fruit from Lakefront Terrace is fermented with 35% whole bunch and aged for 11.5 months in French oak, 25% new oak.
