A poised Grand Cru from a respected family domaine in Flagey-Échezeaux. Aromas of red cherry and wild strawberry are threaded with forest-floor and mushroom notes, while subtle oak adds vanilla spice. On the palate it shows silky texture and elegant structure — bright acidity keeps it lively, softening tannins deliver a polished mouthfeel and a long, savory finish. This 2011 has reached a mature phase: decant gently to reveal tertiary complexity and layered savory fruit. Ideal with roast duck, game birds or an aged mountain cheese.

Domaine Jacques Cacheux is a small, traditionally minded family domaine in the Côte de Nuits. Focused on expressing the terroir of their holdings, the team practices careful vineyard work, low yields and selective harvesting. Wines are matured in French oak barrels, with a restrained use of new oak to preserve purity and finesse. Their Grand Cru bottlings are known for marrying concentration with a firm sense of place.
