Mount Veeder Winery works with vineyards planted on steep terraces at elevations between roughly 1,000 and 1,600 feet. Above the fog line, cooler nights and gentle morning sun produce slow, even ripening and extra hang time. Wines are oak-aged, released with natural cork and tend to show mountain concentration, firm tannins and savoury oak influence.
