品飲筆記：先聞到黑莓與微乾藍莓的果香，隨後有石墨感、煙草與烤麵包般的香氣。入口飽滿濃郁，單寧結實但層次分明，中段果味厚實，餘韻帶香草與些許烘烤橡木的溫暖。這款酒現在醒開後已具可飲性，但更適合耐心收藏幾年。
酒莊與產區：前哨酒莊位於海拔較高的Howell Mountain，現在由AXA Millésimes持有。酒莊著重小產量與精細照料，田間管理以促成高品質、風味集中的葡萄為目標。
釀造方式：分批發酵並採取延長浸皮以抽出色澤與單寧，陳年於橡木桶中以增添香料與烘烤風味，但不搶果味主軸。

Tasting note: Powerful aromas of ripe black and dried blue fruits meet pencil-lead graphite, cedar and a dusting of tobacco and toast. On the palate it’s dense and concentrated with layered, gripping tannins, a plush mid-palate and a long, oak-tinged finish. Ready to enjoy now if you like punchy, structured wines, but built for cellar ageing.
Producer notes: From Outpost Wines on Howell Mountain and under AXA Millésimes ownership, this bottling reflects the estate’s focus on intensity and classic mountain expression. Small-lot attention and careful selection yield a wine that critics have praised for both power and balance.
Winemaking notes: Fermented in modest batches with extended maceration to extract ripe phenolics, the wine was handled to preserve pure fruit while building structure. Post-fermentation aging in oak adds spice and toast without overwhelming the core fruit.
