[Winery & Winemaking Notes] Made by Ben Perkins and selected from the winery's top parcels, this wine is matured in oak and finished under natural cork. It’s presented as the flagship Ares expression — a concentrated, oaked, and structured red intended to show the finest impression of the region. Vineyard management by Travis Coombe and ownership under Michael Twelftree ensure consistent quality from vine to bottle.

[Sommelier's Private Notes] On the nose: glossy blackberries and black plum with cracked black pepper, a ribbon of espresso and cedar. On the palate: dense dark fruit up front, then warm spice and tobacco, supported by firm yet polished tannins and lively acidity that keeps it focused. Long, savory finish with lingering dark chocolate and subtle earth. Serve after 60–90 minutes decanting if tasting young; will continue to evolve over the next decade.
