Born from the historic soils of the Barossa, 'Spirit of Place' is a masterful tribute to the region's ancient terroir. Crafted under the meticulous vision of winemaker Ben Perkins, this cuvée harnesses the rare magic of 103-year-old vines, producing fruit of unparalleled concentration and natural balance. The winemaking process respects the fruit above all, utilizing gentle handling and seasoned oak maturation to preserve the vineyard's pristine voice. The nose opens with a gorgeous perfume of ripe blackberries, blueberry coulis, and exotic cassia bark, lifted by a delicate touch of violet. On the palate, it delivers a stunning juxtaposition of power and grace; the mouthfeel is viscous and densely packed, yet framed by remarkably fine, integrated tannins and a vibrant undercurrent of freshness.
