Penfolds Bin 138 GSM 2019 is a masterful blend inspired by the wines of Southern Rhône. This wine showcases the best of Barossa Valley's old vines, some over 100 years old. The nose is fragrant and welcoming, with warm, sweet spices, dried and glacéed fruits, and a hint of just-baked clafoutis. On the palate, it is medium-bodied yet rich and opulent, with a woven texture of pomegranate and strawberry, supported by a mouth-watering finish and a lacy mesh of assorted tannins. This wine is matured for 12 to 15 months in seasoned oak hogsheads, allowing the varietals to shine through. Perfectly balanced and juicy, it pairs wonderfully with grilled lamb, roast duck, barbecue ribs, and mature cheeses.
