A classic Margaux from a respected 3ème Cru Classé estate, this 2014 shows concentrated black fruit wrapped in cedar, tobacco and cigar-box aromas. The palate is full-bodied and energetic: firm, ripe tannins framed by fresh acidity give structure while smoky, earthy and walnut notes add savory complexity. Winemaking follows a traditional route — fermentation in concrete vats with oak maturation (12 months: 60% barrels, 40% amphoras) — preserving purity of fruit and building tannic backbone. Vineyard parcels in the Margaux commune contribute fine-grained tannins and an element of floral lift beneath the dark fruit.
