Tasting note
A refined and expressive white from a Margaux terroir, this 2023 release opens with delicate floral and white-fruit aromatics, citrus blossom and mineral notes. The palate is silky and full, showing round, ripe stone-fruit and tropical hints with a gentle spice and vanilla imprint from oak maturation. Bright acidity keeps the wine lively and structured, while a saline mineral thread lifts the finish for lingering clarity. Produced from hand-harvested fruit, the grapes undergo manual sorting, whole-bunch pressing with only the first presses kept, and careful vinification in stainless steel with a significant portion matured in French oak barrels and demi-muids. The elevated gravel sites and a cooling stream on the Margaux outcrops give the wine freshness and tension. Delicious now after a short airing, and will fill out over the next few years.
