In Pomerol on Bordeaux’s Right Bank, Château Trotanoy takes its name from the Old French “Trop Ennuie”—too wearisome to cultivate. Dense clay and gravel, which harden almost like iron when dry, together with an iron-rich crasse de fer layer, give the wines their profound mineral character, structure, and exceptional ageing potential.
世紀名莊的傳承 / A Historic Pomerol Estate
酒莊自十八世紀末已被視為波美侯的重要名莊，1953 年由 Jean-Pierre Moueix 家族收購。僅 7.2 公頃的葡萄園以梅洛為主，透過低產量、細緻分批釀造與橡木桶熟成，將老藤果實的濃度與土地的冷峻張力收納於每一個年份之中。
Recognised among Pomerol’s leading estates since the late eighteenth century, Trotanoy was acquired by the Jean-Pierre Moueix family in 1953. Its compact 7.2-hectare, Merlot-led vineyard is farmed for concentration and vinified with precision, then matured in oak to capture both old-vine depth and the terroir’s unmistakable tension.
