2023 Domaine Arnaud et Sophie Sirugue-Noellat Chambolle-Musigny Les Mombies

Tasting Note: A restrained, perfumed Chambolle-Musigny showing lifted aromas of red cherry, raspberry and rose petal, followed by hints of violet, forest floor and gentle spice. On the palate it is silky and focused — bright acidity frames fine-grained tannins and a mineral-tinged finish that lingers with subtle red-fruit echoes.

Producer Notes: Domaine Arnaud et Sophie Sirugue-Noellat is a small family-run property in Chambolle-Musigny dedicated to expressing the nuances of individual climats. Fruit is harvested by hand and vinified with an emphasis on balance and finesse to convey the vineyard's perfume and terroir.

Winemaking: Grapes are handled gently at the cellar to preserve aromatics; fermentations favor native yeasts and careful extraction to avoid aggressive tannins. The wine typically spends close to a year in French oak with a modest proportion of new wood to support structure without masking fruit purity.

Vineyard: Les Mombies is a compact climat in Chambolle-Musigny known for well-drained limestone and clay soils that produce delicate, fragrant wines. Low yields and attentive canopy management concentrate flavors while preserving bright acidity and lift.
