Domaine Follin-Arbelet is a name whispered among Burgundy connoisseurs who value substance over spectacle. Founded in 1993 by Franck Follin-Arbelet—a former geologist with a profound understanding of soil—the estate is based in the heart of Aloxe-Corton. Franck’s scientific background, combined with prestigious family vineyard holdings from the Latour lineage, has created a domaine of singular focus. Their winery is home to some of the deepest and coldest cellars in the village, dating back to 1764, providing the perfect natural environment for the slow, graceful maturation of their wines.
The winemaking philosophy here is unapologetically traditional and "old-school." Franck and his son Simon practice sustainable viticulture, eschewing synthetic fertilizers and herbicides to let the terroir speak clearly. With exceptional holdings in Corton Grand Cru and Romanée Saint-Vivant, the wines are fermented with indigenous yeasts in open-top wooden vats and bottled without fining or filtration.
