Tasting Note: Fleur de Mons 2022 opens with an inviting bouquet of ripe dark fruit and red berry, framed by cedar, violet and subtle graphite notes. On the palate it shows polished, mid-to-full body with silky yet present tannins, bright acidity and a lingering finish edged by tobacco and vanilla spice. Producer Notes: Fleur de Mons is the second label from Château La Tour de Mons in Margaux — crafted to offer the estate's signature elegance at earlier drinkability. The 2022 vintage balances concentration with freshness, reflecting careful selection and blending aimed at approachability without losing terroir expression. Winemaking Notes: Fermented in temperature-controlled vats and aged in a mixture of French oak barrels (including a proportion of new oak) to add structure and gentle spice. Gentle extraction preserves aromatic lift while oak maturation integrates tannins for a smooth mouthfeel. Vineyard Notes: Vines planted on classic gravelly Margaux soils near the Gironde estuary deliver good drainage and moderate vigor.
