The 2022 M. Chapoutier Ermitage Le Pavillon is a masterpiece from the iconic Hermitage region. This biodynamically crafted wine boasts a deep garnet hue with purple highlights. On the nose, it reveals tarry and smoky aromas intertwined with notes of raspberry, blackberry, walnut, and liquorice. The palate is complex and powerful, offering a velvety texture, balanced structure, and a long, lingering finish with hints of tobacco and cocoa. Hand-harvested from low-yielding, mature vines, the grapes undergo meticulous winemaking, including fermentation in concrete tanks and aging in French oak casks for 18-20 months.
