This Gevrey-Chambertin from Bouchard Père & Fils offers a classic Côte de Nuits profile: an intense, perfumed bouquet of black cherry, redcurrant, dried herbs and subtle forest-floor notes. On the palate it shows good structure and fleshiness—velvety yet firm tannins balanced by bright acidity and a mineral thread. Vinified with 15–18 days of vatting and aged 10–12 months in French oak (25–30% new), the wine gains spice, gentle vanilla and savory complexity. Grapes are sourced under strict contracts with growers to meet the estate’s quality standards; soils of Triassic limestone, marls and crumbled stone lend a mineral backbone.
