Tasting Note: Deep crimson with purple hues. The nose shows concentrated red and black fruits layered with cedar, graphite, tobacco and a hint of boxwood and spice. On the palate it is fresh and focused, offering dense but refined flavours, moderate firm tannins and a very complex, persistent finish. Producer Notes: From a demanding 2011 season that produced early ripening and a tricky harvest, the estate reports intense fruit concentration and lively freshness. The final wine was matured in French oak for 18 months under the care of Charles Chevalier and the Barons de Rothschild team. Winemaking Notes: Harvested in early September, the lots were sorted carefully after an uneven vintage; fermentation and élevage in French oak (18 months) maintain tension and frame without overwhelming the fruit. Natural alcohol sits in the low 12% range, emphasising finesse over power. Vineyard Notes: Classic Pauillac gravelly soils, cool maritime influence and meticulous viticulture at the château yield grapes with mineral backbone and structured acidity. The result is a poised, ageworthy wine built for the cellar but already approachable with air.
