Tasting note: A refined, multi-layered blended whisky with an aromatic bouquet of honeyed fruit, candied orange peel and delicate floral topnotes. The palate unfolds silky caramel and vanilla, toasted oak and warm baking spices, finishing long with dark chocolate and lingering Mizunara-like spice. Producer notes: Created by Suntory as a celebration of harmony, this Hibiki expression blends malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s house distilleries, married to age across a range of cask types. Winemaking / maturation notes: Matured for seventeen years in a mix of American oak, sherry and the prized Japanese Mizunara oak casks, then carefully married and bottled at 43% ABV. The blend’s complexity comes from thoughtful cask selection and patient maturation rather than heavy finishing. Vineyard / grain sourcing notes: Grains are sourced to reflect regional quality and Suntory’s rigorous water and milling standards; the soft Japanese water and temperate cellaring help develop the whisky’s silkiness.
