葡萄園環境:來自Seppeltsfield子產區,22年生藤,海拔約250公尺,土壤為紅褐色壤土覆蓋石灰岩,年雨量約450–500毫米,採藤蔓短枝型修剪與低產量分批採收,讓果實集中、風味純淨。建議醒酒約一小時,能更好展開果香與香料層次。
Tasting Note: Intense aromas of blackberry, black cherry and plum are layered with dark chocolate, espresso and cracked black pepper. Toasted French oak brings vanilla, cocoa and a savoury, slightly leathery edge. On the palate the wine is generous and concentrated — ripe, plush dark fruit framed by polished yet substantial tannins, balanced acidity and a long, spicy finish.
Producer Notes: Named for Marananga (‘my hands’ in the local Aboriginal language), My Hands was hand-picked at barrel selection by Michael Twelftree as an exceptional, vintage-limited single-vineyard wine and stands as one of the estate's most premium releases.
Winemaking Notes: Fruit from the Holy Grail vineyard was crushed and de-stemmed into open-top fermenters with regular pump-overs (up to three times daily) to extract colour and structured tannins. Average skin contact was nine days. All free-run and pressings were combined, racked to French oak after 24 hours for malolactic fermentation, and matured 24 months in 300-litre French hogsheads. Bottled with minimal fining and no filtration to preserve texture and intensity.
Vineyard Notes: Sourced from Seppeltsfield sub-region — 22-year-old vines planted on red/brown loam over limestone at around 250m altitude. Average rainfall 450–500mm; cane-pruned vines and small-picked parcels ensure concentrated fruit and flavour purity. Drink window spans maturity to long-term cellaring, while current bottles benefit from an hour of decanting to open up primary fruit and spice layers.
