This 2020 Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Saint Patrice offers a plush, inviting Châteauneuf character: perfumed red berry and spiced cherry aromas lead into notes of nutmeg, dried date and candied orange zest. The palate is medium–full, round and juicy with finely grained, polished tannins and a lively spicy finish. Produced by Clos Saint Patrice from old-vine parcels typical of the appellation, the wine balances ripe fruit intensity with savoury, herbaceous undertones. Vinification emphasises purity — gentle extraction and patient ageing to preserve aromatic lift and texture — resulting in a harmonious, drinkable wine that will develop further in bottle.
