The Macallan Double Cask 15 Year is a refined expression from Speyside, marrying American and European oak casks seasoned with sherry. On the nose it offers warm toffee, honeyed citrus and baked orchard fruits; the palate is rich with caramel, vanilla, dried orange peel and gentle baking spice riding on toasted oak. The 49% ABV lends weight and clarity to the flavours without harshness, creating a rounded, layered mouthfeel and a long, warming finish. Producer notes emphasize careful cask selection and maturation — The Macallan's signature approach to marrying oloroso-seasoned European oak with American oak results in a balance of sweet fruit and honeyed oak spice. Serve neat in a tulip glass or with a few drops of water to open the aromatics; rest 10–20 minutes in the glass for best complexity.
