The 2019 Valli Bannockburn Vineyard Pinot Noir is a captivating expression of Bannockburn's terroir. This medium-full-bodied wine reveals a harmonious blend of black and red fruits, including plums, cherries, and red currants, complemented by herbaceous thyme, minty notes, and floral undertones. A touch of spice, black pepper, and cardamom adds complexity, while silky tannins and lacy acidity create a creamy mouthfeel with a flinty mineral touch. Crafted with fruit sourced from Hall Road, Bannockburn, this wine was fermented with 20% whole bunches and aged in French oak (30% new) for 11 months. Perfectly paired with venison backstrap, duck, or lamb dishes, this Pinot Noir promises a long, sustained finish and is ideal for enjoying now or cellaring for up to 8 years.
