2017 Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Folatieres

A refined Premier Cru from Puligny-Montrachet Les Folatieres, this 2017 offers fragrant citrus and orchard fruit on the nose with lifted white florals and a clear mineral thread. The palate is medium-plus, silky and rounded by gentle creamy textures and hints of toasted nut and vanilla from careful barrel ageing. Bright, focused acidity brings energy and drive, finishing long with a saline lift that keeps the wine lively. Ideal for those who appreciate precision, terroir-driven expression and an elegant, layered profile.

Domaine Jean-Michel Gaunoux is a small family domaine rooted in Puligny-Montrachet. Working parcels across the commune’s top sites, the estate focuses on low yields and attentive vineyard work to capture site expression. In the cellar, fermentations and élevage take place mostly in barrel with careful use of new oak and extended lees contact to build texture while preserving freshness and minerality.
