品飲筆記：酒體散發明亮的紅果香，櫻桃與烤漿果的甜熟氣息，夾帶淡淡藍花與林下泥土的香氛，還有一抹黑橄欖的鹹感。入口多汁、富有張力，單寧細緻且打磨得很平滑，酸度帶動整體節奏，使口感既飽滿又清爽。陳年於橡木中以增加質感，但木味溫和，重點是襯托出果實與礦物的長線餘韻。 生產說明：由Descendientes de J. Tasting note: Fragrant and expressive, this wine opens with bright red fruit and floral lifts — think ripe cherries, hibiscus and a hint of blue flowers — woven together with subtle undergrowth and a gentle black-olive note. On the palate it is juicy and energetic, showing a polished, fine-boned tannin structure, lively acidity and a full, enveloping body. The oak influence is present but measured, lending roundness and a silky texture that carries the persistent, mineral-tinged finish. Producer notes: Crafted by Descendientes de J. Palacios, the wine reflects the house’s focus on site expression and balanced extraction. The bottling combines Mencía with other traditional local varieties to deliver fragrance, depth and an approachable power. Winemaking notes: Fermented with attention to preserving primary aromatics and then matured in oak to build texture and structure without overwhelming the fruit. Bottled under cork to allow gradual development. Vineyard notes: Sourced from Bierzo’s cooler, hilly vineyards where altitude and stony soils encourage freshness and aromatic lift. Vines are often older, planted in steep parcels that favor concentration at moderate yields. The result is a wine with tension, minerality and a long, elegant finish. Serving: Serve slightly cool for a red (around 15–17°C). Decant for about 45 minutes to open aromas and soften the tannins.

Descendientes de J. Palacios is the continuation of the Palacios family's dedication to the wines of northwestern Spain. Led by Álvaro and Ricardo Palacios, the project focuses on low-yield vineyard sites in Bierzo and other historic corners, seeking purity, aromatic clarity and faithful expressions of terroir.
