    Winemaking Philosophy: Seriously Good Wine, Naturally

    At TWR, the philosophy is wholly centered on crafting seriously good wine with minimal intervention. From its humble beginnings in a tractor shed, the winery has evolved into a functional space dedicated to quality. Winemaking practices emphasize small-batch production to separate all vineyard parcels, ensuring each wine truly reflects its origin. The process involves low yields, hand-picking, and hand-sorting of all fruit, followed by minimal intervention in the cellar: low sulphites, no fining agents, no added acid, tannins, or yeast nutrients. Wines are given sufficient time on lees to build texture and complexity, never rushed to bottle, and are proudly vegan friendly. This meticulous approach allows the authentic expressions of Marlborough's unique terroir to shine through in every bottle.
