This Yacca Block release from Two Hands presents a concentrated core of dark fruit wrapped in savoury spice and fine-grained oak. Layers of blackberry and ripe plum are cut by black pepper and a streak of cocoa, while subtle cedar and vanilla come from careful maturation. The palate is full-bodied and textured — muscular yet polished — with firm tannins and lively acid that keep the wine energetic and age-worthy. Winemaking emphasises small-batch ferments and careful extraction, followed by extended oak ageing to integrate fruit and structure. The vineyard sits in a cooler Eden Valley site, with elevated aspect and stony, shallow soils that produce low yields and intense flavour concentration. Drink now with decanting or cellar further into the window for added secondary complexity.

Two Hands Wines was founded with a focus on single-vineyard expression and site-driven wines. Under winemaker Ben Perkins and owner Michael Twelftree, the team works closely with vineyard managers to highlight cooler-climate parcels in the Barossa and Eden Valley. The house style favours concentrated fruit, balanced oak usage and restrained winemaking techniques aimed at long-term ageing.
