This Reserve from a prominent Paso Robles estate delivers concentrated dark-fruit power tempered by structured oak and mineral undercurrent. Aromas of blackcurrant, ripe black cherry, graphite and cocoa open to a dense, full-bodied palate — layers of cassis, dark chocolate and clove framed by assertive but polished tannins. A long, savory finish with cedar and tobacco spice invites short aging in bottle or an hour-plus decant to let the fruit and oak integrate. Ideal for bold red-meat dishes and rich, slow-cooked fare.

Daou Vineyards & Winery, led by Georges and Daniel Daou, is built around a mountain-top estate in the Paso Robles region. The team focuses on high-elevation sites that deliver concentrated, expressive fruit. Reserve bottlings are selected from the top blocks and handled in small lots: hand-harvested grapes, careful fermentation management and extended aging in French oak to craft bold, structured wines with refined tannin profiles.
