Tasting note

色澤：金黃飽滿。香氣先是濃郁的雪莉桶風格，成熟果乾（無花果、葡萄乾、杏乾）與太妃糖、香草、溫暖香料互相呼應，還有一點皮革與烤木香。入口圓潤順口，酒體飽滿，中段出現焦糖、奶油糖與橘皮的甜感，但木質的香辛與淡淡蜂蜜平衡了甜度。收尾綿長，果乾與辛香木頭餘韻持久，帶點溫暖微燻感。 酒廠與釀造：麥卡倫自1824年以來專注木桶與酒液的搭配，這支12年款完全使用西班牙赫雷斯（Jerez）Oloroso雪莉桶陳年，桶子由酒廠的「木桶大師」親自挑選、烘烤與調理，裝桶後靜置成熟12年，期間不作調動，讓新酒在雪莉桶裡與橡木充分對話，形成豐厚果香與香料感。 口感建議：建議先小口慢飲，讓酒在杯中靜置10–20分鐘開放香氣；也可以配濃郁起司、烤堅果或黑巧克力，享受雪莉桶帶來的甜美與木頭的深度。

Colour: rich gold. Nose: a classic sherry-cask bouquet of dried fruits—fig, raisin and apricot—layered with vanilla, warm spice and a touch of leather. Palate: smooth, medium–full-bodied and rounded; concentrated caramel, butterscotch and toffee meet toasted oak and orange peel, balanced by spiced oak and subtle honeyed notes. Finish: long and warming, with lingering dried fruit, oak spice and a whisper of smoke. Producer & maturation: From The Macallan, this expression reflects the distillery’s obsessive mastery of wood. Matured for 12 years exclusively in Oloroso sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain, each cask is sourced, crafted, toasted and seasoned under the Master of Wood’s supervision. The spirit is left undisturbed in those hand-picked casks until it reaches the characteristic Macallan profile—rich, fruity, spiced and naturally golden. Tasting tip: Serve neat or with a few drops of water and allow to open in the glass for about 10–20 minutes. The wine-like sherry influence makes it a natural companion to nutty cheeses, dried fruits and dark chocolate.
