The Macallan Estate is a tribute to place and provenance: a single malt created using a portion of estate-grown grain and distilled during a single annual week. Matured in sherry-seasoned oak, it shows a conker chestnut colour and a comforting, warmly spiced nose — cinnamon, orange oil and rich dried fruits that hint at banana and caramel. On the palate it’s softly warming: wood spice and dry oak lead into candied raisin, fresh fig and a bright sweet orange note. The finish offers a lingering citrus twist over gentle bitter chocolate and spice. Presented in a hand-slate gift pack with aerial imagery of the 485-acre Easter Elchies estate, this release is as much about story and place as it is about flavour. Crafted under the watch of Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess and finished in sherry casks, it’s built for slow, contemplative sipping and pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, mature cheeses and spiced savoury dishes.

The Macallan — one of Scotland’s most renowned distilleries, based at the Easter Elchies estate on the banks of the River Spey. The Macallan has crafted single malts since the 19th century and focuses on provenance, seasonality and the influence of sherry oak in its maturation. The Estate release was overseen by Whisky Maker Sarah Burgess and celebrates grain grown on the distillery’s own land.
