Tasting note: A coastal powerhouse — immediate peat smoke and maritime salinity on the nose, layered with lemon zest, roasted malt and a thread of vanilla oak. On the palate it arrives full-bodied and concentrated: dense peat and tar, espresso bitterness, salted caramel and a hint of black pepper, finishing long with lingering smoke and mineral brine. Producer notes: From the rugged south coast of Islay, this bottling carries the house signature of bold peat and coastal character. The distillery’s hands-on approach to malting and small-batch spirit production emphasizes intensity and clarity of flavour. Winemaking notes: Made from malted barley dried over peat, fermented and twice-distilled in traditional pot stills. Matured for eight years in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak and a selection of European oak casks, aiming to balance smoky, maritime notes with vanilla and oak spice. Vineyard / field notes: Though not a vineyard product, the whisky’s soul is inseparable from Islay’s landscape — windswept peat bogs, sea spray and cool maritime air that influence the malt drying and the warehouse maturation. Expect an elemental, terroir-driven profile showing both peat and coastal minerality.
