Winemaking notes: Fermented with a mix of traditional and temperature-controlled techniques, the wine spent time in French oak (partial new oak) to add spice and structure, followed by several months of integration in tank and barrel. Vineyard notes: Fruit is sourced from vines on well-drained sites with good sun exposure; soils and microclimate favor ripe phenolics while retaining freshness. Overall: approachable now after a short decant, with the structure to age further if desired — pairs well with roasted or grilled red meats, mushroom dishes and mature cheeses.
