Tasting note: Bright, elegant and quietly powerful — the nose opens with green apple, pear and lemon zest, then reveals white flowers, toasted almond and a hint of vanilla from subtle oak ageing. On the palate it shows creamy mid-palate texture, lively citrus-driven acidity and a refined mineral spine that carries a long, saline finish.
Producer notes: From the famously meticulous domaine based in the Côte de Beaune, this Bourgogne bottling reflects the house’s low-yield, hands-on approach and an emphasis on purity and precision. Small yields, strict selection and gentle cellar handling define the style.
Winemaking notes: Fruit is carefully pressed and fermented in French oak barrels with predominantly native yeasts, then aged on fine lees with restrained use of new oak. Elevage is patient and conservative, with minimal intervention, light stirring and careful racking; wines are typically bottled after extended maturation without heavy filtration.
Vineyard notes: Sourced from well-sited Bourgogne plots with limestone-rich soils and good drainage, vines are tended with meticulous canopy work to preserve acidity and ripeness balance.
