2019 Valli Bannockburn Vineyard Pinot Noir

品飲筆記:酒色深寶石紅,邊緣微亮。香氣以櫻桃、李子和紅醋栗為主,撐起迷人的草本氣息——百里香與薄荷輕輕帶出花香與辛香(黑胡椒、荳蔻)。桶香呈現香煎培根皮與溫暖烘烤感。口感中等偏飽滿,奶油般的質地配上細緻、絲滑的單寧,酸度清爽且帶有礦石感,餘韻綿長。

產區與酒莊:來自班諾克本 Hall Road 的單園果實,由 Valli 小酒莊以匠心釀製,目標是展現田地的風味與香氣細節。

釀造手法:部分整串發酵(約 20%)增加香料與結構感,入法國橡木桶成熟約 11 個月(新桶約 30%)。釀造上以溫和萃取與低干預為主,讓果實與田地訊息更直接。

田地小故事:班諾克本日照充足、晝夜溫差大、土壤排水佳且礫石多,使果實風味濃縮且香氣鮮明。這款酒既能立即享用,也適合短期陳年,與烤鴨、野味或帶香料的亞洲料理很契合。


Tasting note: Deep ruby with a slightly lighter rim, this Bannockburn single-vineyard wine opens with fragrant layers of ripe cherry, plum and red currant, woven through thyme, mint and floral lift. Black pepper and cardamom add savoury spice while toasty, bacon-rind oak frames the fruit. On the palate it’s medium–full bodied with a creamy, silky mouthfeel, fine-grained tannins and lacy acidity that gives a flinty mineral thread into a long, sustained finish.

Producer notes: Fruit was sourced from the Hall Road site in Bannockburn and reflects the region’s warm days and cool nights. A boutique bottling from Valli Wines, this release aims to capture site clarity and perfume.

Winemaking: Fermented with a portion of whole bunches (around 20%) to add spice and structure, matured for roughly 11 months in French oak (about 30% new). Gentle extraction preserves the natural aromatic intensity while oak integration adds savory complexity.

Vineyard notes: The Hall Road fruit comes from low-yielding vines on free-draining stony soils in Bannockburn, Central Otago. Diurnal temperature variation and the vineyard’s exposure concentrate flavour and lift aromatic detail. Drink now through the rest of the decade for best development; approachable today with a short decant.
