Bright, structured and oak-tinged, this Graves white shows a lively citrus core—lemon peel and lime—framed by cut grass, lemongrass and a hint of white florals. A touch of vanilla and gentle oak spice come from fermentation and ageing in barrels and wooden vats; the palate is full-bodied with vivid acidity and a slightly saline, lingering finish. Produced by Clos Floridene (the Denis Dubourdieu project), the wine comes from the estate’s clay-limestone parcels and benefits from careful cellar work: barrel fermentation, 8 months ageing and a restrained use of oak to preserve freshness. Drink now with rich, oily fish or give it a few years to round further.

Clos Floridene is a well-regarded estate in Graves known for precision in white Bordeaux blends. The property spans roughly 41 hectares with clay-limestone soils for the white vineyards. The modern cellar balances barrel and vat work; for this wine fermentation and ageing take place in both barrels and wooden vats, focusing on texture and aromatic clarity.
